- The selected full texts of the papers presented at NDE 2022 will be published by Springer Nature in the form of Proceeding Book Volume after following the peer review procedure. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published in the Proceeding (Springer Nature does not charge any money for the publication of Non-Open Access content). The Proceeding Book Volume will be indexed for citation.
- Other selected papers will be published on ndt.net, the largest online NDT portal, as e-proceeding (NDE 2022).
Guidelines to Authors for Preparation of Abstract and Full Text :
NDE technologists, scientists and professionals interested in presenting their original work at NDE 2022 are requested to upload the abstract(s) of their paper(s) in any of the following suggested broad areas and topics:

- Abstracts should be prepared in English.
- The abstract size is limited to one A4 page (including title, authors, affiliations, body text, keywords, etc.) and 400 words at most.The abstract should comprise of a title, names and affiliation of authors along with email address and the text.
- The abstract should be prepared strictly as per the Abstract Submission Template NDE 2022.

- The abstract must be submitted in *.doc/ *.docx format only. No other format would be accepted by the uploading utility.
- The abstract should convey the purpose of the study, experimental procedures and important findings and outcome of the work.
- Drawings / figures should not be included in the text of the abstract.
- Abstracts / papers previously published or presented at any national or international meeting are not permitted.

- Provide all the details while creating the account You will receive SMS and e-mail confirmation regarding successful creation of an account with www.isntnde.in
- Login to your account by providing the login ID and password.
- Click on the link “Submit Abstract” available under menu ‘ABSTRACT’.
- Fill the name of authors as per the given field. Please fill your surname in full. Fill the affiliation of author. To add more authors for the abstract, please click on the ‘Add Author’ button. You may add up to 5 authors for an abstract.Please indicate the presenting author by selecting the radio button.
- Please provide the further details of presenting author only.
- Chose the preferred mode of presentation as follows. Technical committee will confirm the mode of presentation during acceptance of the abstract. Technical Committee reserves the right to change the allotted mode of Presentation and will accordingly inform the authors.
- Short Presentation (Presentation for 6 minutes)
- Oral Presentation (Presentation for 15 minutes)

- Provide the title of your paper in ‘Sentence case format’.
- Provide 3-5 keywords.
- Click the checkbox confirming the acceptance of terms of conditions for submission of abstract and click SUBMIT button.
- Upon uploading the abstract, you will receive SMS and e-mail confirmation regarding the successful submission of Abstracts.
- The status of your abstract will be shown as “Pending Review”.
- A “Delete Abstract” button will be activated against each abstract submitted. The “Delete Abstract” option will be available until the decision on your abstract is taken and the status will change to “Accepted” or “Rejected”
- In case you feel that the submitted abstract needs correction, the submitted abstract may be deleted by clicking on the button “Delete Abstract”. Upon deletion, the abstract will be removed and will no more be reviewed for consideration in isntnde. You may upload the corrected version as a fresh submission or submit a new abstract.
- Upon acceptance of the abstract by the technical committee, you will receive SMS and email confirming the acceptance of your submission and also confirming the mode of presentation.
- You may check the status of all the submitted abstracts under the link ‘Abstract Link & Status’ available under menu ‘ABSTRACT’ after login to your account.
- Once the abstract is approved, the status of the submitted abstract will be changed to “Accepted”.
- It is mandatory that the presenting author must register as a conference delegate for inclusion of the abstract in the technical programme. To register, click on the menu ‘REGISTRATION’ after login to your account at www.isntnde.in
- The link for the submission of the full paper will be activated under the same link only after acceptance of abstract and confirmed registration of the author, after which the full paper can be uploaded through the available link.
Best Paper Award :
- Best Paper Awards will be given for each Presentation Type (Oral, Short and E-Poster).
- Springer Nature has kindly consented to sponsor the Best Paper Award. The best paper awardees will be given the certificates from ISNT and also Coupon of Worth of USD 2000 from Springer Nature.
- Papers will be considered for evaluation of Best Paper Award only if the Full Text is uploaded at www.isntnde.in on or before the due date of submission of full text. The full text will carry a weightage of 50% for evaluation as Best Paper.

Allocation of Slots for ‘Mode of Presentation’ and Population of Accepted Abstracts :
- The number of available slots for each Mode of Presentation (Oral Presentation, Short Presentation and E-Poster Presentation) are fixed.
- The abstracts will be approved for the ‘Mode of Presentation’ during acceptance of abstract and accordingly slot will be allotted.
- The number of available slots for each ‘Mode of Presentation’ are dynamically changed and is shown at https://2022.isntnde.in/accepted-abstract-list.php. · The accepted abstracts are also populated at https://2022.isntnde.in/accepted-abstract-list.php as and when the abstracts are accepted.

Dr. S Thirunavukkarasu, is currently heading Electromagnetic Measurements and Structural Integrity Section of Non-Destructive Evaluation Division in Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam. He obtained his post graduation in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu and Ph.D in Engineering Sciences from Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai. His research interests include numerical modelling and inverse problems in Electromagnetic NDE, image processing and development of novel electromagnetic NDE sensors and systems. He is an ASNT NDT Level III in Electromagnetic Testing. He is a recipient of the National NDT Award for his contribution in NDT systems innovations and development in the year 2015 and also a recipient of DAE group achievement award in 2016. He has over 40 publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit and is actively in involved in guiding M.Tech, doctoral students of HBNI.

Hajo Schulenburg is currently General Manager of VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions GmbH, Germany, and Director of VisiConsult Private Limited, Pune. He has more than 35 years of experience in the manufacturing of x-ray inspection systems. He started his career as a Chip designer at Philips. Later moved to Nordischer Maschinenbau as a development engineer. He was working on the development of the fishbone X-ray scanner. He was Head of software at SEIVERT for more than 10 years, developing Vistaplus and SABA software for x-ray inspection. He founded VisiConsult x-ray systems & solutions in 1996. He contributed to the development of Xplus – x-ray inspection & control software and differentiated the company by offering customized inspection solutions. He started a manufacturing facility in Pune and contribute to the cost-effective x-ray systems, called the ECO series.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Boller
Balaji Srinivasan obtained his Ph.D. in 2000 from the University of New Mexico, USA. He subsequently worked as a Senior Development Scientist at Corning Incorporated, USA, where he led technology development efforts related to 3D Optical Cross-connects and Channel Selectable Tunable Filters. Since 2004 he has been with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras as a faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering, presently as Professor
Aparna Sheila-Vadde has been with the NDE Lab in GE Research since 2005. She has worked on design, simulation, testing and analysis of electromagnetic sensors for various inspection and monitoring applications. Prior to GE, Aparna worked at Western Digital Corp and Read-Rite, in Fremont, CA, for 3.5 years on GMR sensor design for hard-drives. Aparna has a B.Tech from Kerala University, MS from IISc and Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, all in ECE.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Ghodgaonkar received the B. E. Electronics degree from the University of Indore, Indore in 1976. He has done M. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), Mumbai in 1978. His M. Tech. thesis was on computer aided design, fabrication and testing of PIN Diode Phase Shifters. After getting M. Tech. degree, he worked at SMPU (now, Sameer) division of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, for two years. He received Ph. D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA, in May 1987. His Ph. D. thesis was on dielectric measurements of biological materials at millimeter wave frequencies. After getting Ph. D. degree, he worked at the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics of the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, USA, for 5 years. At Penn State, he developed the noncontact and nondestructive free-space microwave measurement system in the frequency range of 5.85 – 40 GHz for research on microwave NDT of composite materials. After working at Penn State, for 11/2 years, he did teaching and research at the Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC), Bandra, Mumbai. Then, he was working as an associate professor at the MARA University of Technology (UiTM), Shah Alam, Malaysia for 11 years. During this time, he did extensive research in microwave characterization of composite materials. Dr. Ghodgaonkar is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (FIEM), Malaysia, a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE), India and a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, (SMIEEE). He is also a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (MISTE). He was involved in organizing 9 conferences in areas such as telecommunications, sensors and applied electromagnetics. He has published more than 15 research reports and 150 papers in journals and conferences. He has received several research awards such as Model Researcher Award at the MARA University of Technology. His research interests are in areas such as microwave sensors, microwave characterization of composite materials, biomedical applications of microwaves, microwave instrumentation and microwave measurements.

Dr. Bala Pesala is currently the mentor for Teralumen Solutions. He is also an adjunct professor at IIT Jodhpur and SRM university. Teralumen Solutions is India’s first company focused on commercialization of THz technologies. Dr. Bala received his B. Tech from IIT Madras and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley. He also received minor degree in Business from Haas school, UC Berkeley. Bala Pesala was formerly a Senior Principal scientist at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Chennai and a Professor at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) where he has established a dedicated lab focused on Terahertz research and development. He received several awards including CSIR Young Scientist Award (2016), Demitri Angelakos memorial achievement award (UC Berkeley 2009), Rafael Rodriguez Golden Age Fellowship (UC Berkeley) and Silver medal for the highest GPA in Aerospace engineering (IIT Madras 2003) to name a few. He has authored/co-authored more than 150 publications in leading peer reviewed journals and conferences and has three granted U.S patents and 1 European patent to his name. Iikka Virkkunen doctorated from Helsinki University of technology (now part of Aalto University) on 2001. He founded Trueflaw ltd. The same year, and has over 20 years of experience on working with NDT reliability.
C.V.Krishnamurthy is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at IIT Madras and is also affiliated to the Centre for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) at IIT Madras. He obtained his PhD from IIT Madras in 1989. In the past, he had participated in contract research for the Indian Navy developing and delivering a product for on-board tactical use of RADARs. While at CNDE, he developed quantitative ultrasonic transducer models and had participated in the ultrasound benchmark problems set by the World Federation of NDE Centers.
Venugopal. Manoharan is currently working as Principal Technologist at VisiConsult -Xray systems & solutions. Prior to join VisiConsult, He worked as Senior Scientist at GE Research for 19 years, scientific officer at Advanced Fuel Fabrication Facility, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and Division of Post Irradiation Examination and NDT development, Indira Gandhi Center for atomic research for 13 years. He has more than 35 years of experience in the field of Research in NDE.
